"A writer's problem does not change," said Hemingway. "He himself changes, but his problem remains the same. It is always how to write truly and, having found what is true, to project it in such a way that it becomes a part of the experience of the person who reads it."
3s10p is a quarterly journal of new writing in this spirit. Each issue contains
The stories that are published in 3s10p are always clear sequences of actions and events, presented in good prose. At the end, we should not be in doubt about what happened, though we may of course wonder what it meant, and why we feel the way we do when it's over.
Poetry is the art of writing emotions down. The poems in 3s10p should make you feel better—not in the sense that they'll make you feel better emotions but in the sense that they'll help you feel emotions better. The first virtue of a poem is its emotional precision, or what we can simply call its intensity. 3s10p also publishes "conceptual notations", i.e., "perspicuous presentations" in Wittgenstein's sense. Their virtue is clarity.
If you would like me to consider your work for publication, please read the guide for authors. The plan is to try to put together the first issue around June 2019.
